Free utility to create backups for Kodi and install (sideload) programs with support for multiple external devices like FireTV.
adbLink is a free and open source Kodi backup app and mobile phone tool developed by Jocala for Windows. It's light on system resources, straightforward and well-designed.
The download has been tested by an editor here on a PC and a list of features has been compiled; see below. We've also created some screenshots of adbLink to illustrate the user interface and show the overall usage and features of this Kodi backup program.
A companion program for Kodi to backup, root, mount and more
adbLink is a companion program for FireTV and Android Kodi & forks. It allows you to sideload Kodi (and other apps) without the bother of downloading the Android SDK and other tools; Additionally, it allows you to copy files to and from Kodi, backup Kodi, root the FireTV, mount USB drives and more.
You can manage devices via USB or IP address. You also get advanced functions such as mounting USB drives with exFat, VFAT, NTFS, Ext and HFS file systems.

Compatibility and License
adbLink is a free application released under the GPLv3 license on Windows from mobile phone tools. With software released under the open source GPLv3 license, anybody can download, install, run and distribute the software with little in terms of restrictions. The latest version we have is 6.2 and is available to download here.
What version of Windows can adbLink run on?
adbLink can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
Other operating systems: The latest adbLink version from 2024 is also available for Mac.
